Cookie files
A cookie is a tiny file your browser keeps. We also use local storage so a choice you already made does not need to be asked again when you return to a release file or the hotfix list. Neither tool is used to decide what patch mail you see.
What we use
Local storage preference — stored after you press Accept or Decline on the banner. It only remembers that choice so the banner can stay closed. It is not used for advertising, affiliate tracking, or launch-night retargeting.
This newsroom does not place third-party marketing cookies. Fonts load from Google Fonts; your browser makes that request when a page opens. If you block that request, the layout still works with a system font.
Changing the choice
Clear this site’s cookies and local storage in your browser settings. The banner will show again on the next visit. You can also write to [email protected] if you want a written note of what we store.
